london my love

it's official: i'm going to london in three weeks. The five days will be pretty much all work but it's going to be super-exciting! we're taking part in Le Book Connections tradeshow on 16th & 17th of october and i'm expecting it to be very hectic. it's funny i haven't been to london after i moved back to finland 2003.. gosh that's 5 years. wow.

and BTW if you know how i can get the pictures bigger, please tell!

here's something new and not near as pricy as the ones i found before. the grey coat is by kookai.. a brand that doesn't really convince but i say what the heck if the product looks good. and it does.

sorry for the long silence. i've been deadbusy with work and working late hours this week. but youfeelinit is back on track again..though still busyubusy! here's my picks from the dedercuny show. these area pretty, i really love the burgundy red playsuit, gosh that's perfect. another thing that caught my attention was models' hair that look natural yet very irresistable.

quest for shoes

i need new shoes. the pair for the fall and maybe winter too since it hasn't really got that snowy nor cold in helsinki the last years. i think what i'm looking for is something close to the ones below.

if you're looking for interesting things to do today or next week i have a good tip: liisa jokinen (hel looks), salli raeste (styled for example les corps mince francoise video 'cool & bored) and juliana harkki (photographer) took pictures for 6 weeks travelling through eastern finland and looking for interesting styles. the opening is today at myymälä2 (uudenmaankatu 23).

i love the type of shows vibskov and van beirendock do, it's not only about clothes but the whole atmosphere. these pictures are from walter's winter 2008-2009 collection. such an inspiration - got to love it.

quite awkward

although i'm still not sure if i really am ready for taking pictures of daily outfits or such i need start taking proper pics.. this is just not quite it. photobooth I LOVE YOU but there's a little problem with not being able to fit more than a torso in one picture. it doesn't really go with the idea of a whole outfit. another thing is that at the moment my only laptop is at the office and with 40 other people working on asame floor..well you got the idea of it. however soon i'll have my laptop at home so it will get a bit easier.

jeans vs. trousers dilemma

i'm in need of trousers or jeans. here are my options so far: black high waisted jeans or black (didn't find a picture of a black pair) trousers. the trousers look really good with ankle boots but i guess the high waist version would be more practical for winter and all ..but there's something i really like about the trousers.
now what should i do...?

topshop unique ready-to-wear

topshop did it well for spring 2009 ready-to-wear show. and referring to my last post, no, i didn't find a winter jacket. but instead i did find a beautiful slouch!! i'm in love again.

i don't know what has happened but it seems winter has come overnight. therefore today i figured would be a good day to scan helsinki's winter jacket supply. something like these is what i've had in mind but it's possible there won't be anything alike available. soon i'll find out and let you know about the conclusion. have a happy monday!

a winter jacket inspiration

i found a great winter jacket. i took the picture with my cell phone in a bar on friday after some glasses of red wine and so i have no idea whose design it is. it looks like a I-d font and style, maybe the september n:o?? if you know better than me, let me know! or then i just have to take a second round with magazines..and red wine.

vice crayfish party - copenhagen
