seeing fresh

in amidst of terry richardsons, paolo roversis and steven meisels it's wonderful to find find a new talent with a twist of his/hers own. i adore the picture by magnus sunnar (on the right). ellen von unwerth not being a favorite photographer of mine, she blew me away with her shot (on left). being a (sometimes naive) idealist i find it utterly intrigueing that a woman aged 54 is able to still create new things and see things out of regular. (i've been into semi-philosophical thinking lately and have come to believe it's possible for any of us to do almost anything well if we just make the effort and believe in ourselves.)

ooh i had such fun! champagne, (surprisingly) well dressed nice looking people and lots of familiar faces + a sorbet bar - it pretty much does the trick. you've probably already read about the winners so i'll skip it. thanks and gongrats elle.
