minna parikka love
if you understood that two thirds of the title were a name you did good, gongrats. minna parikka is the designer behind these baddies. her designs haven't so far been my cup of tea with a bit of 50's and burlesque influences and so when i was shown the shoes on spalt pr day last week i couldn't stop talking about how surprised i was about the designer's ability to move forward still not going too far from her roots. i simply love these and i neeeed them in my spring wardrobe. btw i got the best service from her staff team, highly recommended.

d+c
two looks from ss2010 collections, dries and chloƫ. i'm actually going crazy over the crazy-ethic dries one minus the shoes. same goes with the other one actually. the loose look is good but there's no point going all hippie, you know. btw, loving karlie's hair!! i can't tell if it's the lights or is there a little gradient going on?

odd things and prints
i've always adored people who have the ability of recognizing the right kind of odd things, or even better a bunch of odd things, working them into a chic natural looking mix. the lady photographed by the sartorialist definately masters what i'm talking about. i also realized that i have a problem with prints mixed with non-prints but when they are put together there's a possibility of creating amazing masterpieces. make sense?

experiment on jason wu dress
what to do with a jason wu fw09 dress in case mrs.o isn't your style? first i'd cut the jacket looking part and continue with the feather skirt (sorry jason). now an easy thing would be to go all/mostly black but i was tempted to use only warm tones - brown, beige and gold and making it not too caramel with white body. i actually would had gone for ragged jean jacket to have some twist but couldn't find a proper picture..

gilles et dada // walking through light
these photos are from a gilles et dada photoshoot, i'd call it a lookbook but correct me if i'm wrong. i love the fact that there are young finnish brands doing their advertising in an interesting and in this case diy-kind of way. a simple idea, a used idea perhaps but what isn't nowadays? i love it and am particularly exited about the louis vuitton ss2010-like afro..

the x factor
this is what i love about paris. and yes, fashion week may have had it's influence on this gentlemans choice of shoes but whatever the reason this is what i'd love to see everyday.

viva vena cava
two of my favorites at vena cava and totally diy-able. get some safety-pins and get going. the girls of vena cava also have a blog, check it here.
