i've long loved the work of stockholm based photographer knotan. the pictures posted are from an editorial for kasino a4 magazine, also a favorite and both definately worth checking if you haven't so far.

barcelona + cadaques + berlin

as i mentioned earlier i'm now off to barcelona, cadaques (dali's favorite place) and berlin. i'll be posting frequently though so no need to run away. i've never been to barcelona or cadaques and as i've also heard many good things about both places it's kind of a tickling feeling to wonder what's ahead. that's what makes a holiday!

busy week! wow! my to-do-list seems to update itself with more tasks same pace i can tick things off. i'll be off to barcelona and berlin for two weeks this saturday (will be posting though) and so there's a pile of work things, blog things and personal things to take care of before. BUT there's always time for dreaming of things and the excitement of finding such is what keeps me going. i couldn't believe my eyes when i read that this jacket is all saints (not a big fan.. there's always been something wrong with detailing - usually too much of it). however the jacket looks gorgeous, would make miracles with any trousers + simple heels.

JIMMY CHOO. wow, i can't wait to see the materials used and what will the outcome be when h&m quality meets jimmy choo QUALITY. there'll also be some clothing.. we'll see on november 14th when the collection is out.

i've been searching for a short non-leather multipurpose jacket some time now. now i'm in between of two good choices and a kind of want them both. then again i'm not 100% sure if i NEED either of these.. common dilemma i guess. first i found the fifth avenue shoe repair mini trench in helsinki 10 and then the ktz beauty in wunder. what should i do. the pictures of the ktz are quite crappy, sorry.. couldn't find better ones. the fabric is amazing, soft nylon and it sits really nicely but the trench is more of a classic. both?

louis vuitton (used in the forementioned chloë editorial) vs. mango (!!!) jewellery. that would be something like 5,500 euros vs. 55 euros. i prefer the mango design myself with that more delicate look.

some get bored with chloë some have been bored with her for the last what.. 8 years or so- well i haven't and probably won't. some have their favorite runway models, well i have MY chloë. i saw some of the ready-made pics on the magazine but i actually like these hands on pics much more, they create an illusion of a special moment better.

in amidst of terry richardsons, paolo roversis and steven meisels it's wonderful to find find a new talent with a twist of his/hers own. i adore the picture by magnus sunnar (on the right). ellen von unwerth not being a favorite photographer of mine, she blew me away with her shot (on left). being a (sometimes naive) idealist i find it utterly intrigueing that a woman aged 54 is able to still create new things and see things out of regular. (i've been into semi-philosophical thinking lately and have come to believe it's possible for any of us to do almost anything well if we just make the effort and believe in ourselves.)
