what a long day. i just got home from mert otsamo's (a young designer who was a project runway finalist few years back) fall 2011 show. i took so many photos that i'll only give you a tiny sneak peek now.

samuji fall winter show on last wednesday was so natural and well thought that it felt like this is the way things just happen when nice people come together to see a set of beautiful clothes, enjoy rhubarb drinks and the first warm days of the spring. apparantly there is a meatpacking district in helsinki as well - the venue was a finding of one of the best chefs (my opinion) in the city, antto melasniemi a mind behind the hel yes concept done in london and helsinki last winter.

one of the very few local favorites, samuji has their fw 2011 lookbook out and it looks fantastic. the dress is simply divine as are the skirts and the plaids. lovelovelove samuji!!!

miika kemppainen just posted the first picture on fb and was kind enough to let me post it here. him and tom wennerstrand have been travelling on fashion weeks doing what they do best - hair. on pictures model marike le roux backstage and on catwalk at alexander mcqueen. LOVE the hair!!

i just did a weekend visit to paris...whew. i was helping minni f. ronya, a women's ready-to-wear brand presenting their first collection at rendez-vous / atelier richelieu (a beautiful space!). one of my favorites from the collection is the gloria blazer pictured here but there are so many great essentials in the collection spiced up with prints (print is hand drawn by minni havas, also one of the two designers behind the brand) that i'll be posting some more pictures soon.

absolutely loved dries van noten fall collection. the patterns feel a bit vintage-y, but in a good way. also as with proenza's fall collection i can't wait to see either the pieces in person or see some closeups.
